Bondi has striking examples of Art Deco and Inter-war architecture, the design movement from the early 20th century—blending elegance with coastal charm.
The Bondi Art Deco Architecture Walk celebrates a century of Art Deco design, commemorates the 1925 Exposition Internationale Des Arts Decoratifs et Industrials Moderne in Paris—from which Art Deco emerged—and recognises its role in Bondi’s unique character.
Many residential buildings in the area are characterised by streamlined forms, geometric patterns and vibrant colours. Explore just a selection of these by walking through North Bondi to end at Bondi Pavilion in Bondi Beach, a cultural icon. This walk is a real treat for architecture lovers.
