It just occurred to us that we haven’t seen the New South Wales Mounted Police Unit around for a while. We checked with the local police and they haven’t either, although they know they are still operating in Surry Hills.
This photo was from 2016 when they were a regular sight around the ‘hood.
Formed in 1825 this unit is the oldest continuous mounted group in the world.
