Ronnie Stein

Whenever we’re at the pool so is Ronnie. And that’s because he goes every day of the year. Ronnie has a nice calming presence so we’re glad that he is.

“So my Bondi story started in the 90’s when I had a house and lived on Hastings Parade. I opened the first Ki Clinic (Japanese acupuncture, moxibustion and shiatsu) in 1997 at 1 Jacques Avenue just behind the post office on Hall Street. I was there for about 15 years before the building was sold. That’s when I moved the business to Rose Bay. The clinic is now at 6/81 Old South head Rd in Bondi Junction.

I joined the Icebergs in the early naughties and used to take my kids there for swimming lessons before school. I had to bribe them with a hot chocolate.

I start my day with a coffee at Birichina and a gasbag with a mate. I then head over to the ‘bergs for a sauna and a swim.

It’s my church/synagogue, my holy place. I go there 24/7 365 days a year. It’s the only thing that keeps me relatively sane in life.

I love my work, the patients that I see and as such I work 7 days a week. Doing what you love helps make it feel like I am not really working.”
