Explore Bondi’s accessible facilities
Bondi and its surrounding areas offer accessible facilities, welcoming everyone to experience this iconic destination, from the beaches to the nearby parks, walkways and shopping precincts.
Bondi Park and promenade
Bondi Beach Park and promenade can be accessed from the main entrance on Campbell Parade and the northern end of the beach. The promenade offers level access, providing scenic views along the length of the beach.
Beach access is available via a ramp at the northern end of the beach, near Wally Weekes children’s pool. This area generally offers the most weather protection during summer and is the preferred swimming spot. It’s recommended to check beach conditions before your visit.
Accessible and ambulant toilets are available at the North Bondi and South Bondi amenities. At North Bondi, an outdoor shower next to the beach wheelchair storage locker allows visitors to rinse off sand before transferring back into their own wheelchair. A Changing Places facility and an accessible shower are also available at Bondi Pavilion.
Beach wheelchair booking
For those wanting to enjoy the beach closer to the shoreline, beach wheelchairs are available for hire. Lockers are provided to store your own wheelchair when renting a beach wheelchair.
Bookings are essential—to reserve a beach wheelchair, email venuehire.bondipavilion@waverley.nsw.gov.au or call (02) 9083 8300 during business hours.
Surf conditions
For a safe visit, we recommend checking surf conditions before heading to the beach.
