Stella the Smella gets an Upgrade

Officially the Ben Buckler Sewage Chimney, this historical Bondi landmark is also known as Stella the Smella and the Stinkpot. Terms of endearment no doubt.

Built in 1888 this brick structure was heritage listed in 2002 in acknowledgement not only of its unique architectural features but also its role in the development of Sydney’s sewerage system.
